Counseling Services
Individual Therapy
Creating a trusting, authentic, empathic, and inviting environment are crucial to your comfort when sharing your personal experiences. We focus on providing you with tools to help you through various circumstances in individual therapy. As your counselor, a holistic approach will be taken to understand your individual needs.
Grief Therapy
When you’re grieving, it often feels like there is nothing anyone can say that would make it better. Grief comes in various forms of loss and does not just stem from experiencing the death of a loved one. During grief counseling, we aim to support you on your own time and in your own way. So whether you are experiencing sadness, anger, shock, loneliness, isolation, or guilt, you are encouraged to process those emotions without feeling rushed.
Christian Therapy
Christian counseling may be for you if your Christian faith is an essential part of who you are. Whether you struggle with depression, anxiety, contentment, or relational issues, we work with you to achieve personal wholeness, spiritual maturity, and mental stability. During Christian counseling, you will be provided tools along with biblical truths that leverage spiritual and emotional healing from God’s word.
Trauma Therapy
Traumatic experiences come in various forms and can be paralyzing as trauma often leads to unaddressed emotions and behaviors. Trauma therapy attacks the problematic beliefs that foster shame and guilt and helps you develop a new core belief that encourages healing and growth. When working through trauma, we assist you in processing your feelings and emotions triggered by the event and help you reclaim control while implementing healthy coping skills.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic treatment that guides individuals through imagery reprocessing for painful life experiences. EMDR has been proven effective in treating clients with trauma using bilateral stimulation (BLS) through tapping, auditory tones, or eye movement, which can expedite the brain’s ability to process traumatic memory. The goal is to become desensitized to traumatic triggers. There are several advantages to EMDR, such as improved self-esteem and self-perception, reduced PTSD symptoms, reduced trauma distress, and other problematic symptoms.
